March 9th Next Committee Meetings

Tuesday, March 9th at 6:00PM at the Cornerstone Community Center will be our next Nationals Committee Meeting.  At this meeting we will discuss fundraising with the tournament book, update on apparel and orders, determine women's social on Saturday night of the tournament, etc...

Please plan on attending and bring any fundraising ideas and contacts you may have.  We will continue to meet and plan every other week until the women's tournament.  We hope to see you there!

Is your daughter, granddaughter, godchild, niece, friend, or girlfriend participating in the National Tournament?  Let her know you are cheering her on by submitting a one-line ad to be printed in the Tournament Program!  The cost of the ad is only $25.

2010 USA Hockey National Championship Women's & Girls' Tier I

We are excited that Green Bay will be hosting the USA Hockey 2010 Women’s & Girls’ National Tournament.    The tournament games will be held at the Cornerstone Community Center and the De Pere Ice Center as 48 teams will come for each tournament.

Dates: 
Women’s (A, B, C & Over 30) Tournament – Friday, March 26th – Sunday, March 28th , 2010

Girls (U12, U14, U16, U19) – Wednesday, April 7th – Sunday, April 11th 2010.  This is Tier I tournament.  Girls Tier II will be hosted in Lansing, MI

 National Tournament Committees*: 

  • National Book – Sara Holman - Chair - This committee will sell advertising in the National Tournament Book.  We can have as much advertising in the book as we can sell.  Individuals on this committee must be willing to network with the Green Bay local businesses.
  • Volunteers Coordinator – Jenn Rafferty - Chair - This committee will identify a volunteer schedule for each tournament.   Will contact groups identifying volunteers and staff the event.
  • Team Binders – Put together a tournament binder for each team (Just need volunteers to assist CCC with putting them together).
  • Apparel/Merchandise - Emily Wery - Chair– This committee will select the merchandise through USA hockey to sell during the tournaments.  Merchandise will be for sale during both tournaments.  Need to staff the event.
  • Hospitality Room – Joe Wittig - Chair - This committee will contact local businesses for food and beverage donations to be available in the hospitality room for USA officials, volunteers and other approved individuals.  Recognition of vendors will be put in the National Tournament Book.  Will need to staff this room during the tournament.  Need to staff the event.
  • Website – Marty McKeever - Set up the website for each team to gather and give out tournament information.  Need to maintain game data during the tournament.  Need to staff the event.
  • 50/50 Raffle Coordinator -  Find prizes for the 50/50 raffle and need to staff the event.
  • Opening Ceremonies – To provide an opening ceremonies event for each tournament and need to staff the event.
  • Misc Vendors – To identify vendors for the tournament such as photographer, jewelry and other vendors to sell merchandise (non competing merchandise from USA Hockey) and need to staff the event.

 Please let Don or  Lynn know if you have any questions to this information and if you are willing to help in any of the committees.  To make this tournament successful we will need hundreds of volunteers.  There will be 100 games played at each tournament.  We hope we have your support for this tournament.
