Green Bay Area Youth Hockey Association (GBAYHA), a non-profit volunteer organization, strives to provide safe and affordable hockey and instruction for children of the Green Bay Area. We believe that participants receive the important benefits of fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and cooperation that will help each child achieve his or her personal goals, and contribute to the greater good of the community.

2011 ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS ARE HERE

For those of you interested in earning your credits by selling this years Entertainment Books, the new books just arrived today.  Please send an email to GBAYHA@new.rr.com if you would like a sample book to use. 

Remember, 6 Books = 1 Credit.

If you wish to purchase just 1 book for yourself, you can do that as well or you can sell 3 for 1/2 credit.

Bantam A Teams Will Not Join NIHL

After several months of high hopes, torrid speculation and much discussion and investigation, the Bantam A team has elected to not compete in the NIHL.

In accordance to what was decided at the GBAYHA board meeting a couple of months ago, the team will now travel down the path of the second option discussed. This will include all of the original plans of Bellin dry land training, Total Hockey and more ice time, but there will be no plans to be a league member of the NIHL.  

In turn, this will also mean that the Bantam A tryouts will be extended to October 6 and 7.  Many families have demonstrated a commitment to this idea and team. In addition, many have invested time in previous tryout dates and many of their sons have shown an ability to play on and for this team.  The coaching staff and GBAYHA would invite any Bantam players still interested in this team to consider trying out in October.

2010-2011 Player Registration NOW OPEN

It may be warm and sunny outside but the 2010-2011 hockey season is just around the corner and registration for the season is now open!

This year registration for players will again take place completely online.  Click on the registration link at the top of the navigation panel to the left to begin the player registration process for the 2010-2011 hockey season.

Deadline for registration is August 31, 2010.  Early registration discount ends August 15th, 2010.

Want To Be A Hockey Coach?

We hope everyone is enjoying the long off season. It’s that time of year when we start thinking about tryouts and the upcoming season. Many of you have coached GBAYHA teams in the past and the Coaching Committee hopes that you will consider coaching again this year. Some of you are brand new and would make terrific coaches or perhaps even have coaching experience. Attached to this letter you will find the 2010-2011 Coaching Application that we invite any interested members to complete. Coaches will be selected by the Coaching Committee the week of tryouts. This year the process will be slightly different than is the past. The GBAYHA Board has decided to allow coaches to once again be involved in the tryout process.
 
If selected, please know that you will have to be registered with USA Hockey and attain the appropriate coaching level for your desired coaching level. Please stay tuned to the USA Hockey website in order to attend a nearby coaching clinic.
 
Please take a moment and consider this important means of contributing to youth hockey.  Information is available by clicking on the coaching link in the navigation bar to the left.
 
Coaching Applications are due by September 3, 2010.

2010 Girls Summer Hockey

We are looking for girls (beginner to experienced skaters) to play hockey. If you have always wanted to learn how to skate and play ice hockey, or if you just want to refresh your skills & have fun, this is your chance!
